What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Pharmacist PRN/Part Time position at PRIMERA COMPOUNDING LLC?
- Dispense prescribed medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical guidelines.
- Review and interpret physician orders to ensure appropriate drug selection, dosage, and route of administration.
- Conduct patient consultations, addressing any concerns, questions, or medication-related issues.
- Supervise and perform sterile and non-sterile compounding of medications in accordance with established protocols and regulatory standards.
- Maintain proper inventory levels and monitor medication storage conditions to ensure quality and safety.
- Follows through with mandates by the company as suggested by the Pharmacist-in-Charge.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, such as physicians and nurses, to optimize medication therapy and patient outcomes.
- Provide counseling on medication usage, side effects, and precautions to patients and caregivers.
- Perform medication therapy management (MTM) services, including medication reviews, adherence monitoring, and patient education.
- Stay updated on current pharmaceutical trends, new drugs, and treatment protocols through continuous professional development and self-study.
- Adhere to all legal and regulatory requirements, including maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Performs other job-related duties as required.
- B.S. in Pharmacy or Bachelor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
- Current pharmacist license in Texas, in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a retail pharmacy setting.
- Extensive knowledge of pharmacy law, regulations, and standards of practice.
- Demonstrated experience in sterile and non-sterile compounding.
- Strong understanding of medication therapy and drug interactions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in pharmacy software systems and technology.
