About The Team
PrimeLending’s Secondary department is a vital component of our organization's operations. We are dedicated to managing the secondary market activities, which involve the buying and selling of mortgage loans after they have been originated to investors such as government-sponsored enterprises (GSEs), institutional investors, and other financial institutions. These activities help PrimeLending manage our loan portfolios, generate liquidity, and maintain a steady flow of funds for lending operations. Our department plays a crucial role in maximizing profitability, minimizing risk, and maintaining strong relationships with investors and other market participants.
Responsibilities
- Partners with internal departments to coordinate legal agreements; ensuring contents/criteria of contracts are prepared in accordance with any/all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements
- Responsible for arranging all legal agreements and applications for investor approval and for tracking the progress and status of the documents; following up as appropriate to ensure they are provided to and/or returned within the agreed upon timeframes.
- Ensure any amendments to agreements, applications or other legal documents are incorporated, approved, documented and shared with the appropriate parties.
- Maintain appropriate communications with external 3rd parties, as the company’s representative, ensuring they are provided with any relevant updates regarding the organization that may be pertinent to the contract in general, including who/what areas are impacted by the document or application.
- Works closely with other groups on setting up, administering and/or maintaining systems to track and categorize contracts.
- Participates and assists in managing risk reviews with all investors and rating agencies.
- Responsible for quarterly reporting and presentations to our MI Partners and any additional information that they may request.
- Administers PrimeLending user access for the various investor portals.
- Runs reports for day to day operations and provides them to leadership as requested.
- Other functions as needed.
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in contract management or related field
- Experience in the Mortgage industry strongly desired
- Familiarity with contract management software preferred
- Depending on service area, certification in a specific discipline may be preferred
- Excellent PC skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with various levels within the organization
- Ability to demonstrate excellent detail orientation, critical thinking, negotiation and analytical skills
- Ability to meet deadlines; work with confidential and sensitive situations and information effectively and with appropriate safe guards
- Demonstrated judgment and decision making ability
- Displays excellent time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Strong customer service orientation
