SUMMARY
The Catering Dispatcher serves as the central point of coordination for catering sanitation and operational activities within Sky Café operations. This role is responsible for monitoring daily operations, maintaining real-time communication with teams, and ensuring all sanitation, staffing, and operational requirements are executed accurately and efficiently. The Catering Sanitation Dispatcher supports operational planning, tracks workflow and performance, and ensures compliance with company standards, safety requirements, and client expectations in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as the central point of contact for daily catering sanitation and operational activities
- Monitor and coordinate sanitation teams, drivers, and operational staff to ensure timely task completion
- Maintain real-time communication with team members, supervisors, and airline partners regarding operational status
- Track and report all operational issues, delays, and exceptions as they occur
- Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate assignments, expectations, and operational updates
- Review and follow up on prior shift communications to ensure continuity of operations
- Monitor attendance, including late arrivals, early departures, and absenteeism, and report as required
- Coordinate scheduling and assignments for sanitation teams and equipment
- Ensure all tasks, including cleaning, sanitation, and preparation activities, are completed within required timeframes
- Maintain oversight of equipment usage, ensuring proper operation, cleanliness, and readiness
- Ensure compliance with all safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements
- Track and update operational systems, logs, and reporting tools to ensure accuracy
- Communicate with airline representatives and internal teams regarding service updates and operational changes
- Ensure all required documentation, logs, and checklists are completed accurately and timely
- Support workforce planning by identifying staffing gaps and communicating needs to leadership
- Assist with cross-functional operational tasks, including sanitation support and inventory coordination as needed
- Ensure all irregular operations or deviations are communicated in real time to appropriate stakeholders
- Maintain a professional and safety-focused work environment
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
- 18 years of age or older
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Ability to work onsite in an operational environment
- Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
- 1–3 years of administrative, dispatch, or coordination experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees, management, and external partners
- Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures
- Ability to obtain and maintain required airport and security clearances
- Must pass a background check and drug screen
- Must be flexible to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts
