Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position, for the role of Family Advocate. The Family Advocate will be responsible for providing direct support to families and individuals, performing case management tasks, and collaborating with social service agencies. Daily responsibilities include implementing strength-based strategies to address challenges, conducting needs assessments, monitoring progress to service plans, and ensuring continuity of care. The advocate will also maintain detailed client documentation and facilitate clear communication between families and relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Experience in Family Services and Social Services to support individuals and families effectively
- Knowledge and skills in Social Work and Case Management to assist families in stabilization and reunification
- Strong verbal and written Communication skills to liaise with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to apply a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive approach to client interactions
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field preferred
- Familiarity with DCFS systems and procedures is a plus
- Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple cases efficiently
- Commitment to empowering and advocating for underserved populations
