What are the responsibilities and job description for the LTC PHARMACY TECHNICIAN position at PRIMECARE PHARMACY SERVICES, INC.?
PrimeCare Pharmacy is a family owned and operated long-term care pharmacy located in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
PrimeCare Pharmacy currently services facilities in Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Wayne and other surrounding counties. We have been in operation for more than 20 years and provide the utmost quality services to personal care homes, community group homes, and long-term care facilities. Our goal is to provide exceptional service to each facility in an attempt to assist in the enhancement of each patients’ living experience.
We are seeking reliable, responsible Pharmacy Techs to become members of our team. We have PT and FT positions available. Pharmacy Techs will fill prescriptions via varying packaging methods, under the supervision of licensed pharmacists. Techs will undertake and complete a variety of other assignments as necessary. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Package prescription orders.
- Clean and maintain clean work space.
- Print labels and sort according to delivery times as needed.
- Highlight specific directions on labels as needed.
- Check labels for accuracy, notifying pharmacist of errors and correcting.
- Communicate effectively with all coworkers.
- Complete initial and annual trainings as required.
- Comply with all pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Work hours are Monday - Friday Days and Evenings between 8AM and 8PM, and alternating weekends : Saturdays 9 AM - 1 PM, Sunday afternoon - hours may vary on Sundays. Flexibility is a must!
