What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at PrimeCare Family Medicine?
Support the providers, your peers and patients through a variety of tasks related to care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.
Medical Assistant Responsibilities
- Gather and document the patients personal information and medical history.
- Obtain vital signs
- Administer injections
- Update and file medical records
- Assist the provider during medical exams
- Perform basic wound care
- Prepare and clean exam rooms
- Sterilize medical equipment
- Stock supplies in rooms
- Perform lab testing such as flu, strep, covid, and urine
- Complete prior authorizations for medications
- Answer and direct phone calls in a polite and friendly manner
- Operate standard office equipment on a regular basis, including a fax machine, a copy machine, and a computer
- Skills
- Understand basic med math and medical terminology
- Basic computer skills
- Understanding of common medications
- We are a small independent medical practice with three providers. We are looking for someone that is dependable, easy going, has good attendance and is willing to go the extra mile for our patients.

- EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)
