Currently seeking a highly motivated, talented, and dedicated SolidWorks Drafter - Designer with great motivation. Currently seeking a highly motivated, talented, and dedicated SolidWorks Drafter - Designer with great motivation. High proficiency in SOLIDWORKS and PDM is mandatory.
This Drafter - Designer must be able to work effectively in a team. Creative conceptualization skills would create other opportunities within the Company.
Candidates must have strong organizational skills, ability to document complete bills of material, follow engineering procedures and complete engineering drawings and documentation for purchasing and manufacturing. Experience with the development of electro/mechanical assemblies and knowledge of many machining and welding processes a plus!
The successful candidate is able to perform detail-oriented hands-on mechanical drafting with minimal direction. SOLIDWORKS test will be administered during the interview process.
Core Responsibilities include:
Develop drawings and models with the information provided by engineers.
Detailing parts and large assembly layouts.
Modeling and/or dimensioning parts in SolidWorks.Assist in creating and implementing ECNs.
Reports project progression updates and/or issues to the Lead Engineer as required.Participates in meetings as requested.
Printing drawings and file management.
Additionally, the Drafter - Designer would be involved in the following:
Maintaining an established document control system.
Participation in the conceptualizing of new designsInvolvement in the complete product development cycle, from initial product specification to product release.
Supports and follows designs through test engineering and manufacturing engineering.
Keeps detailed records and provides documentation on all projects.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education Required:
Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Computer Aided Design & Drafting Technology or related field or equivalent.
Experience Required:
Two or more years of experience in SolidWorks design and PDM. The test will be given to assess skill level.
Strong working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases.
Good understanding of fabrication and assembly.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of good drafting practices and standards.
Good organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
Small-part design experience is a plus.
Travel:
May serve as a field designer to support the project by performing field measurements, assisting field personnel in reviewing installation drawings and installation.
