Responsibilities
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
- Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product demos when needed
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with precision, including balancing registers at shift end
- Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance customer satisfaction and sales
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries via phone etiquette and in person
- Support inventory management through stock replenishment and monitoring product levels
Qualifications
- Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse customers effectively
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve a broader customer base
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction accuracy
- Supervising experience is advantageous for team collaboration and leadership opportunities
- Knowledge of POS systems, merchandising techniques, and upselling strategies is desirable
- Ability to work flexible hours in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a positive attitude
