Program Overview
Prime Time After School Program provides a safe, engaging, and structured after-school experience for students in Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 5th grade. Our comprehensive program is designed to support the whole child by combining academic enrichment with fun, hands-on learning experiences.
Program offerings include:
- Academic Support and Homework Assistance
- Athletics and Recreational Sports
- Arts and Creative Enrichment
- STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Activities
Through a balance of education, physical activity, creativity, and social development, Prime Time provides students with meaningful opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive in a positive and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily program operations, including student supervision, staff management, and program scheduling.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all students while maintaining compliance with Prime Time policies, school district requirements, and state licensing regulations.
- Lead, supervise, train, and support site staff, providing coaching and performance feedback to maintain high-quality programming.
- Develop and implement engaging quarterly activities that include academics, athletics, arts, STEM, leadership, and enrichment opportunities.
- Maintain accurate student attendance, enrollment records, incident reports, and all required program documentation.
- Build positive relationships with students, parents, school administrators, teachers, and community partners through professional communication and outstanding customer service.
- Monitor staff-to-student ratios and ensure proper supervision at all times.
- Manage site supplies, equipment, and inventory while maintaining an organized and welcoming program environment.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies, behavioral concerns, and parent inquiries using sound judgment and established procedures.
- Coordinate special events, family engagement activities, and program celebrations throughout the school year.
- Support enrollment, registration, and student retention efforts while promoting Prime Time's mission and values.
- Attend required meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the success of the program.
Qualifications
Must meet Department of Social Services (DSS) Requirements:
- Child Development Site Supervisor Permit or Program Director
- 3 - 4 years of progressive management or administrative experience
- 15 semester units in: Child Growth and Development, Child/Family and Community, Programs and Curriculum and Administration or Staff Relations.
- 16 hours of preventive health and safety training

Site #2: Elysian Heights Elementary School in Echo Park
Hours
Monday - Friday 12:30pm - 6:30pm / 30 hours minimum
August 2026 - June 2027
Pay: $28.00 - $31.00 per hour
