$3,506 Gross per week

• $56.50 per hour

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated OR RN Traveler for a 13-week travel nurse contract near Columbus, NE. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care in the operating room, with required experience in OB (including C-sections), colonoscopy/EGD, and orthopedics. This role requires proficiency in circulating and scrubbing, willingness to learn Preop/PACU if needed, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, critical access hospital environment. Must be a subsequent travel assignment (not first-time traveler).

Responsibilities

• Perform circulating and scrubbing duties in the operating room for OB (including C-sections), colonoscopy/EGD, and orthopedic procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical team members to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
• Participate in Preop/PACU duties, with willingness to learn if limited experience.
• Manage on-call responsibilities, including 1 weeknight per week and every second or third weekend.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Provide patient education and support to ensure optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

Required:

• Active Nebraska or Compact RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent OR experience, including OB (C-section), colonoscopy/EGD, and orthopedics.
• Prior travel nursing experience required (subsequent assignment, not first-time traveler).
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS.
• Ability to work 5x8-hour day shifts, take call (1-2 weeknights/week and every second or third weekend), and work holidays if needed.
• Willingness to learn Preop/PACU if no or limited experience (required part of assignment).

Preferred:

• Pre-op/PACU experience.
• Cerner EMR experience.
• Ortho experience with HANA bed.
• Previous critical access hospital experience.

Schedule

• 40 hours per week, consisting of five 8-hour day shifts.
• Call: 1 weeknight per week and every second or third weekend.
• Willingness to work holidays if needed.
• Contract length: 13 weeks.
