Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated OB/ER/Med Surg RN Traveler for a 13-week travel nurse contract in the Cozad, NE area. The ideal candidate will be responsible and accountable for planning, directing, assessing, and providing nursing care across Obstetrics, Emergency Room, and Medical-Surgical units, with a commitment to quality, safety, teamwork, and patient-centered care. This role requires a minimum of 1 year of recent acute care experience in OB, ER, and/or Med Surg in a hospital setting. As a critical access hospital serving a diverse community in central Nebraska, the facility emphasizes compassionate care in a supportive environment. Housing is provided; personal vehicle required for commuting.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, assess, and provide nursing care according to hospital mission, philosophy, policies, and procedures.
• Deliver high-quality care with professional commitment, teamwork, interpersonal skills, safety, and good public/customer relations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Provide patient and family education to support optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

Required:

• Active Nebraska RN license in good standing (or compact license).
• Minimum of 1 year of recent OB, ER, and/or Med Surg experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association Healthcare Provider), ACLS.
• Basic keyboarding skills and willingness to develop computer competency within six months.
• Fluent in English; able to communicate clearly.
• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required.

Preferred:

• Spanish language skills.

Schedule

• 36 hours per week, consisting of three 12-hour night shifts (blocked scheduling not guaranteed).
• Contract length: 13 weeks.
• Start date: 12/2/2025
• Cancellation policy: Up to 3 shift call-offs per contract.
