Job Overview
We are seeking skilled and dedicated ICU RN Travelers for 13-week travel nurse contracts (4 total openings: 2 Day, 2 Night) in the Tulare, CA area. The ideal candidate will be responsible and accountable for planning, directing, assessing, and providing critical care nursing in the Intensive Care Unit, with a commitment to quality, safety, teamwork, and patient-centered care. This role may require the ability to orient new staff, precept students, and assume Relief Charge Nurse duties as assigned. Quick interviews and rate increase on extension available.
Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, assess, and provide nursing care according to hospital mission, philosophy, policies, and procedures.
- Deliver high-quality care with professional commitment, teamwork, interpersonal skills, safety, and good public/customer relations.
- Complete applicable hospital and department-specific RN competencies within 3 months of hire/transfer.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Provide patient and family education to support optimal outcomes.
Qualifications
Required:
- Active California RN license in good standing.
- 2 years recent ICU experience in an acute care hospital setting.
- Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA)
- Fluent in English; able to communicate clearly.
Preferred:
- Spanish language skills.
Schedule
- 36 hours per week, consisting of three 12-hour shifts
- Contract length: 13 weeks (rate increase on extension).
- Start date: 12/8/2025.
- Cancellation policy: Up to 3 shift call-offs per contract.
