Prime Time Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Arkansas City, Kansas.

$100/hr OT Rate
Required Certs: BLS, ACLS, NRP, Fetal monitoring
Births/month: definitely varies but I would say 12-25/month. Last year we had 231 deliveries
Floating is required if we are low census or closed. The nurse would float to med/surg, ICU, and ER to help roust/perform CNA duties, they will not take a patient load.
Just for some extra information:
We staff 2 OB RNs for each shift, however, if low census or unit is closed, the 2nd RN may be home on call (20 minute response time) if not floated elsewhere in the hospital.
The OB RNs do all cares: we labor, deliver, resuscitate baby as needed, clean up mother after delivery, postpartum, do all newborn 24hr testing, birth certificate, etc. I just share this because it seems like more and more we are getting nurses here that don’t realize at a small critical access facility you don’t have an abundance of resources or other people to do these tasks. Respiratory therapy is in house 24/7 if we need help with resuscitation and our house supervisors and ER RN’s are NRP certified as well if we need more hands.
