An established national hospice company is seeking Weekend RNs for Sarasota and Charlotte counties for visits and admissions. Weekend RN Positions are part time and the hours are 8am - 8pm.

The hospice home care RN provides skilled nursing care to patients in accordance with the treatment and plan of care designated by the patient, family, physician and interdisciplinary team. The hospice home care nurse educates home care patients and families about the disease process, help manage and control pain and other symptoms and offer solace to those in distress. They are part of the interdisciplinary hospice team that supports people at critical junctures in their lives, making a difference in their quality of life. Care delivery primarily takes place in the patient's home or in a facility where the patient receives care.
The Admissions Nurse is an integral member of the interdisciplinary hospice team, specializing in supporting patients and families in the decision to begin hospice care. Admission Nurses are the first contact with patients and families, providing education and guidance on the hospice benefit while using strong clinical skills to evaluate eligibility per the Medicare guidelines.

Education:
Associate (required)
Credentials:
Licensed in FL as a registered nurse in good standing.
Experience:
At least two years of nursing experience preferably in hospice or palliative care.
Other:
Valid driver’s license, and auto insurance, reliable/well maintained transportation.
