About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical-Surgical team in Selma, Alabama. Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on the Med-Surg floor.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care according to facility policies and best practices.
- Administer medications, perform treatments, and monitor patient responses.
- Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system.
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations and rapid changes in patient condition.
- Ensure adherence to infection control, safety protocols, and regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Alabama or compact).
- Minimum of 1 year Med-Surg experience (hospital setting preferred).
- Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred).
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
