Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated RBT Applied Behavior Analyst Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including those on the autism spectrum. Your primary focus will be to implement behavior intervention plans, assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), and support clients in achieving their personal goals through applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques. This position requires a strong understanding of behavioral therapy principles and the ability to work collaboratively with families and other professionals.
Duties
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans as directed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Collect and analyze data on client behaviors to track progress and inform treatment adjustments.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) to promote independence and functional skills.
- Provide support in teaching social skills, communication strategies, and coping mechanisms.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including progress notes and care plans, in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in behavioral health and management.
Experience
- Previous experience in behavioral therapy or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques and data collection methods is essential.
- Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or special education needs, is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and patient care practices is beneficial.
