Responsibilities
- Conduct routine patrols of the facility by physical inspections to identify potential security breaches or hazards.
- Control access points utilizing access control systems, verifying identities, and performing background checks on visitors or contractors as needed.
- Respond swiftly to security incidents, emergencies, or alarms by executing established emergency response procedures, including fire safety protocols and first aid assistance.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or suspicious activities with clarity and accuracy.
- Manage conflict de-escalation techniques to resolve disputes peacefully while maintaining safety for all parties involved.
- Operate security equipment such as Taser devices, firearms (where legally permitted), AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), and perform CPR when necessary to provide immediate aid.
- Perform heavy lifting or manual handling tasks during patrols or incident responses while adhering to safety regulations and proper techniques.
Skills
- Background in military or law enforcement with experience in physical security operations.
- Certified in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and emergency response procedures.
- Proficient in incident report writing with attention to detail and clarity.
- Skilled in conflict management, conflict de-escalation, and customer service to handle challenging situations professionally.
- Ability to perform background checks and enforce compliance with security regulations effectively.
- Capable of heavy lifting and manual handling tasks while maintaining safety standards.
