Position Overview
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking team member to handle equipment pickup and delivery, and to assist with prepping mowers and tractors after the sale. This role is essential in keeping operations running smoothly and ensuring customers receive their equipment ready to perform.
Key Responsibilities
Pickup & Delivery
- Safely load, transport, and unload mowers, tractors, and equipment
- Deliver equipment to customers and provide a quick overview if needed
- Pick up equipment for service or trade-ins
- Secure loads properly and follow all safety procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of the delivery truck and trailer
Equipment Prep (Make-Ready)
- Complete Pre-Delivery Inspection for all equipment
- Assemble new equipment (mowers, tractors, attachments)
- Inspect units to ensure they are clean, fueled, and fully operational
- Perform basic setup: check fluids, tire pressure, battery, and controls
- Install accessories or attachments as needed
- Ensure units are showroom-ready and customer-ready
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with general upkeep and organization of the dealership lot, shop, and equipment staging areas
- Move and position equipment between the showroom, service shop, and storage areas as needed
- Help ensure all equipment is clean, presentable, and properly displayed for customers
- Support service and sales staff during peak workload periods
- Perform basic detailing, cleanup, and touch-up work on mowers and tractors before customer pickup or delivery
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional-looking work environment at all times
- Assist with loading/unloading inventory deliveries and incoming equipment shipments
- Take on additional duties as needed to support daily dealership operations
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to safely operate gooseneck trailers and tow equipment
- Basic mechanical knowledge (preferred but not required)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying conditions
- Strong attention to detail and work ethic
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to use and navigate Apple and Google Maps
Preferred Experience
- Experience with lawn equipment, tractors, or small engines
- Familiarity with brands like Echo, Ferris, Shindaiwa, or TYM
- Previous delivery or equipment handling experience
