What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Director position at Prime Pizza LA?
The Marketing Director will play a key role in developing and executing Prime’s marketing strategy as we scale into new markets. You’ll work cross-functionally with leadership, operations, and real estate to grow market share, drive traffic, and achieve financial objectives.
This role is both strategic and hands-on. You’ll build the foundation for our in-house marketing function, lead brand storytelling, and bring data-driven insight to how we connect with guests. The ideal candidate is a skilled marketer who has mastered the fundamentals of brand growth.
Key Responsibilities
Brand & Strategy
- Develop and execute Prime’s marketing strategy to grow awareness, traffic, and sales across all markets.
- Independently lead brand positioning and storytelling efforts that build emotional connection with guests.
- Champion the Prime Pizza brand voice, visual identity, and customer experience across all touchpoints.
- Use data and research to help inform strategic decisions, market prioritization, and customer insights.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Lead collaboration with cross-functional teams — including Operations, Real Estate, and Finance — to align marketing plans with company goals.
- Work hand-in-hand with stakeholders to execute plans, brief in the right teams, and ensure timely, consistent rollout of campaigns and initiatives.
- Partner with Operations to ensure store-level execution aligns with brand standards and guest experience goals.
Campaigns & Partnerships
- Develop and execute campaigns that drive brand awareness, sales, and loyalty across digital, local, and in-store channels.
- Oversee relationship management and tactical business development responsibilities with agencies, vendors, and third-party partners.
- Support local marketing, PR, and community partnerships that reinforce Prime’s presence in each neighborhood.
- Leverage analytics and performance data to evaluate results and continuously improve future initiatives.
Customer & Market Insights
- Use data and research to help inform customer segmentation, market expansion, and brand growth opportunities.
- Analyze third-party delivery performance and regional metrics to guide decision-making.
- Collaborate with Real Estate to assess trade areas and customer profiles that support new store success.
Team & Function Building
- Build and grow the marketing team, establishing clear roles, structure, and processes that support Prime’s growth trajectory
- Manage budgets, timelines, and partners with accountability and transparency.
- Serve as a mentor and brand ambassador across the organization.
Requirements
- 7 years of progressive marketing experience, ideally within multi-unit restaurant, hospitality, or consumer lifestyle brands.
- Proven ability to develop and execute integrated marketing strategies across multiple channels (digital, local, and in-store).
- Demonstrated experience independently leading projects and campaigns from concept through execution and analysis
- Strong understanding of brand positioning, customer segmentation, and market research.
