Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Scott Family Health Clinic, 375th Medical Group, Scott AFB, IL Secondary/Alternate 375th MDG O'Fallon Family Medicine Clinic, St. Elizabeth Hospital, O'Fallon, IL 62269.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts between
Qualifications:
Education:
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
Graduate from a college or university accredited by ACEN or CCNE
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of professional nursing experience in a direct patient care clinical setting (hospital or clinic).
- Experience providing patient education, health promotion, and counseling.
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams and supervising junior staff.
Demonstrated ability to recognize emergency conditions and respond appropriately.
License/Certification:
Current, valid, unrestricted RN license from any U.S. jurisdiction, free of limitations or adverse actions, maintained throughout employment.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the AHA is required.
Other Requirements: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers.
- Perform patient assessments, physical examinations, and health histories.
- Administer medications, immunizations, wound care, and other clinical interventions as ordered.
- Provide patient and family education on disease prevention, treatment plans, and lifestyle management.
- Monitor and evaluate patient responses, promptly recognizing and addressing adverse signs or emergencies.
- Facilitate referrals and coordinate specialty care as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all standards of care, policies, and procedures at the Military Treatment Facility (MTF).
- Participate in clinic huddles, care team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Supervise, guide, and delegate tasks to junior nursing staff and support personnel based on scope of practice.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in medical records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA requirements.
- Support research, training, and continuous improvement efforts to optimize patient outcomes.
