Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide anesthesia services at an Indian Health Service hospital in Belcourt, North Dakota. This is an independent practice role with no anesthesiologist on site. The CRNA will be responsible for managing anesthesia care for general surgery and obstetrics cases, with a typical caseload of 5–6 OR cases per day.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care independently in a hospital setting.
• Manage general surgery and obstetrics cases (ASA I and II patients only).
• Alternate call coverage with another CRNA, including nights and weekends during work weeks.
• Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and develop anesthesia care plans.
• Monitor patients during and after anesthesia to ensure safety and recovery.
• Collaborate with surgical and medical staff to deliver high-quality patient care.
  
  

Requirements

• Current Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) certification.
• Active license in any U.S. state (IHS accepts any state license).
• Minimum of 2 years CRNA experience.
• Ability to work independently without anesthesiologist supervision.
• Strong clinical judgment and patient care skills.
  
  

Schedule

• Two-week work rotations (includes on-call responsibilities during nights and weekends).
  
  

Compensation

• Onsite work: $200/hour (1099 contractor basis).
• On-call coverage: $50/hour.
