Overview
Prime Package Plus, a full-service pack and ship center in Midland, Michigan, is hiring a Seasonal Part-Time Retail Associate for 12 to 16 hours per week. We offer shipping, mailbox rentals, printing, notary services, and Live Scan fingerprinting, and the holidays are our busiest time of year. You'll be the friendly face at the counter, helping customers ship packages, ringing up sales, and keeping the store running smoothly. The role is seasonal through December 31, with the possibility of staying on afterward for the right person.
Schedule and Pay
- $16.00 per hour
- Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Every other Saturday, 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
- Availability through December 31 required
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent service in person and on the phone
- Listen to customer needs and recommend the best shipping and service options
- Pack and process packages for shipment using multiple carriers
- Operate the point-of-sale system and handle cash and card transactions accurately
- Run copiers and other store equipment for print and copy orders
- Stock packing supplies and retail items and keep the store clean and organized
- Recommend add-on products and services, such as packing supplies, insurance, and faster shipping options, to give customers the best value
Qualifications
- High school seniors with a reduced or half-day schedule are welcome to apply
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
- Friendly, professional, and confident talking with customers
- Comfortable with computers and quick to learn new software
- Reliable and punctual, especially during the holiday rush
- Detail-oriented and accurate with transactions and addresses
- Able to stand for several hours at a time and lift 30-50 lbs regularly
- Comfortable suggesting additional products and services to customers
