What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Property Manager position at Prime Management LLC?
FUNCTION: Assists the property manager in effectively managing the property. Assume all responsibilities associated with accomplishing property objectives in the property Manager’s absence.
REPORTS TO: Senior Property Manager/Property Manager
FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Hourly Nonexempt
RESPONSIBILITIES: (Including, but not limited to)
Marketing/Sales/Leasing:
- Handle recordkeeping and reporting responsibilities on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- Responsible for the collection, posting and depositing of rental revenue to include receiving, processing, and posting rents and security deposit payments.
- Handle delinquencies, late notices, and evictions.
- Maintain effective internal controls over bookkeeping and operational activities in compliance with best practices, policies, and guidelines.
- Handle resident activities and resident complaints.
- Process applications and lease renewals. Greet prospective residents and show apartments.
- Assist new residents during the movein process.
- Handle administrative functions to include clerical and reception responsibilities.
- Work with maintenance to handle apartment turnovers, moveins and moveouts, and work order requests.
- Completion of other tasks as assigned by supervisor and/or management.
Management:
- Assist with staff management responsibilities to include supervising, training, and development.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in bookkeeping or accounting and responsibility for office management. Residential property management experience preferred.
- Customer service skills.
- Organization skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace, bilingual skills a plus. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business information, including but not limited to Organization policies and procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, tax / accounting data, etc.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.

HOURS: Monday – Friday 8:30 – 5:00

Pay range is $23-$26 per hour.
