Swing Shift CNC Machine Shop Supervisor

Compensation

What You’ll Do

This is a hands-on leadership role . You’ll lead the swing shift while staying actively involved on the machines.

Leadership & Production

• Lead a team of 6–8 machinists on swing shift
• Plan, prioritize, and execute daily production work
• Review setups, programming, tooling, and work instructions
• Assign jobs and ensure deadlines, quality, and efficiency are met
• Communicate progress, issues, and needs with day shift leadership and project managers

Machining & Problem Solving

• Operate CNC mills/lathes (including 4 & 5-axis) as needed
• Support complex setups and troubleshoot machining challenges
• Guide CNC programmers and mentor machinists at all levels

Quality & Safety

• Ensure parts meet tight tolerances and customer expectations
• Review inspection reports and ensure documentation is complete
• Lead safety efforts, training, and safe work practices on your shift

Team Development

• Train and develop machinists in setups, machining, and quality
• Provide performance feedback and help grow the team’s capabilities

What You Bring

• Strong background as a CNC machinist AND programmer
• Experience with Mastercam (preferred)
• Proven ability to perform complex setups on large and small parts
• Solid understanding of blueprints, GD&T, and inspection processes
• Experience with crane/rigging and shop safety practices
• Leadership OR informal mentoring experience (lead, trainer, go-to person)

Schedule

• Swing Shift (hands-on leadership role) 3:00 pm to 2:30 am
• Some flexibility required for production needs and occasional weekend duty

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour

Experience:
