Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Paralegal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in various areas of law, including but not limited to estate planning, Probate, and Escrow. This role requires excellent skills, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a commitment to providing exceptional legal support.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with legal research and case management for various practice areas such as Estate Planning, Probate, and Escrow.
- Draft and proofread legal documents including contracts, pleadings, and correspondence.
- Conduct phone call and email intake with potential and existing clients and witnesses to gather relevant information for cases.
- Conduct phone call and email outreach to leads and potential clients.
- Manage case files using document management systems.
- Perform data entry and maintain organized filing systems for legal documents.
- Review documents for accuracy and completeness in accordance with legal standards.
- Collaborate with attorneys on project management tasks to ensure timely completion of assignments.
- Provide executive administrative support including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling phone communications.
Skills
- Paralegal experience with a at least a foundational understanding of Estate Planning, Probate, and Escrow law.
- Proficient in legal administrative tasks such as document review, transcription, filing, and clerical duties.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents.
- Excellent ORGANIZATIONAL skills with attention to detail in managing multiple cases simultaneously.
- Familiarity with project management principles within a legal context.
- Ability to conduct thorough legal research using online databases effectively.
- Strong interviewing skills to gather pertinent information from clients and witnesses.
- Proficient in using document management systems for efficient file organization.
