Janitor/Cleaner guy

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms by sanitizing fixtures, replenishing supplies, and ensuring proper hygiene standards are met.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, polishing, stripping, and waxing to preserve the appearance of various flooring surfaces.
• Handle industrial cleaning tasks using specialized equipment for large-scale or high-traffic areas.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting issues that require professional attention.
• Support custodial efforts during special projects like deep cleaning or seasonal maintenance.
• Follow safety protocols and proper handling procedures for cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Skills

• Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services with a strong understanding of commercial and residential cleaning standards.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning.
• Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers, vacuums, pressure washers, and industrial cleaning equipment.
• Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks and basic repair skills.
• Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and safety.
• Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
