Prime, Inc. is looking for a hard-working, dedicated associate join our Logs Department. A Log Auditor is responsible for examining and analyzing driver logs to ensure compliance with federal regulations by performing the following duties
Any combination of education, training, and experience providing the following knowledge, skills, and abilities. Ability to work independently and used reasoning to find solutions to problems.
Knowledge
Basic knowledge of the trucking/transportation industry preferred, but not required. Experience with logs would be helpful.
Abilities
Strong organizational, computer, and excellent customer service skills required. Accurate typing of a minimum of 40 WPM. Experience with Microsoft Outlook and the Internet is required. Multitasking is required. Some weekend work will be necessary for this position. Applicants must have excellent communication, training, mental math, prioritization, and conflict resolution skills.
Experience, Education, And Training
A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University in a Business or related field is preferred; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements
This position requires being able to sit and remain focused and motivated for long periods of time. Being able to multitask between the computer, phone, and different projects is required.
Working Environment
Primarily indoors with heating and cooling regulated in a general office environment. Call volume can be heavy at times.

- Review driver logs for hours of service compliance.
- Stay current with federal regulations governing driving limits placed on drivers
- Use various computer systems to accomplish above.
- Telephone and face to face conversations with drivers having issues.
- Respond to drivers’ inquiries regarding hours of service regulations.
- Perform various audits and communicate discrepancies with drivers and their fleet managers.
- Communicate with various departments regarding drivers’ abilities to transport freight within the legal hours of service standards.
- Schedule 7am-5pm, Sunday - Thursday
