Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Outside Technical Sales and Operations Associate with strong B2B field sales experience and the ability to support core operational activities. This role blends technical sales, client logistics, and daily operations coordination.
Candidates with door-to-door or outside sales backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply. While this role does not involve consumer door-to-door sales, the persistence, confidence, and relationship-building skills gained in those environments directly translate into success when engaging industrial decision-makers.
This is a field-driven position, where you will spend most of your time visiting industrial clients, identifying opportunities, managing cylinder logistics, sourcing parts, and supporting daily business operations.
Role Breakdown
70% Outside Technical Sales 30% Operations Coordination & Assistance
Outside Technical Sales (70%)
- Generate new B2B business daily by visiting industrial service yards, equipment rental companies, contractors, repair shops, and manufacturing facilities in the Houston area
- Plan and execute structured field routes, completing 8–12 client/prospect conversations per day
- Identify hydraulic repair needs on-site and position Primer as the preferred service partner
- Manage pickup and drop-off of hydraulic cylinders as part of the sales process and service workflow
- Build long-term relationships with maintenance managers, shop supervisors, and purchasing teams
- Deliver strong proposals, service quotes, and value-driven solutions that highlight ROI and reduced downtime
- Serve as the main point of contact throughout the repair cycle, ensuring follow-through and client confidence
- Track visits, leads, and deal progress in CRM while consistently meeting or exceeding targets
Operations Coordination & Assistance (30%)
- Support sourcing and purchasing of parts required for hydraulic cylinder repairs
- Communicate with suppliers to verify pricing, availability, and lead times
- Coordinate internal logistics, scheduling, and operational needs to maintain business continuity
- Provide hands-on support for daily operational activities in a small, fast-growing company environment
Requirements
- 3 years of outside sales or B2B field sales experience (door-to-door sales experience is valuable when transitioning into industrial B2B)
- Strong hunter mentality—comfortable initiating conversations in industrial environments
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
- Technical aptitude with the ability to learn hydraulic systems quickly (hydraulic knowledge is a plus but not required)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and closing ability
- Self-driven and able to work independently in the field
- Valid driver’s license
- Comfortable working in a growing small-business environment—resourceful, flexible, proactive, and adaptable
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $3,500 per month ($42k a year)
- Uncapped commissions performance bonuses
- Earnings potential: $72,000 per year
- Full-time W2 position, Monday–Friday
