What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President of Rural Health Clinics position at Prime Healthcare?
In this role, the Vice President of Rural Health Clinics will provide leadership for development and management of rural health clinics (RHCs) in various markets for Prime Healthcare. With direction from the Prime Healthcare CEO, the Regional CEOs, and the Corporate Chief Medical Officers, this role will lead the development of the RHC “Service Line” across the Prime system. Key responsibilities include strategic assessment of various markets, identifying target sites and opportunities, operationalizing plans and launching RHCs, overseeing daily operational activities, and maintaining financial stewardship and profitability. Ensures that RHCs operate within the established policies, procedures, and strategic objectives of the system and in compliance with all local, state and federal regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead development of a strategic plan for RHCs across various prime markets in collaboration with Corporate and local hospital leadership and staff
- Prepare and execute plans to launch and operationalize the RHCs
- Develops and maintains relationships and marketing efforts with physicians and other referral sources
- Administers all aspects of the RHCs to provide effective, efficient, and high-quality services
- Regularly benchmarks performance measures to identify best practice and directs implementation of necessary changes
- Monitors service line growth and recommends strategies based on operational statistics and market needs and trends
- Vigilantly monitors cost management in alignment with patient volumes and revenue generation
- Ensures compliance with policies, procedures and standards that have been developed to ensure quality management and adherence to state, federal and accreditation organization requirements
- Performs other duties as assigned or required
Please note: this role is required at our Headquarters in Ontario, CA when not traveling. Remote is not offered.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field from an accredited institution required with Master’s degree (MPH or MBA) preferred.
- 5 years of experience working in a leadership role within Healthcare required with Rural Health Clinic experience strongly preferred.
- Must have proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, hospital & clinic staff, and the community at large.
- A proven, hands-on healthcare leader with superb operating skills.
- Has improved the efficiency and effectiveness of day-to-day operations and then scaled an organization to larger volume and market penetration in a competitive marketplace.
- Has held formal general management and P&L responsibility, is financially savvy, and has demonstrated ability to leverage financial and operating statistics in a healthcare environment.
- A strong track record of successfully implementing new services and a desire to “build something from scratch”.
- Prior experience successfully creating a Rural Health Clinic service line into a high-performance operation through the creation and implementation of required processes, systems and infrastructure.
- Has the proven ability to effectively leverage business resources to consistently accomplish forecasted performance objectives and return-on-investment goals.
- Prior experience in the proprietary sector is preferred.
- Willing to travel to various markets to launch and manage RHCs (Approx. 50%).
Salary : $280,000 - $300,000
