Mercy Medical Center is seeking a dynamic and committed Internal Medicine Residency Program Director to lead its ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Residency Program. This position offers a balanced role with approximately 50% protected administrative time dedicated to program leadership and 50% clinical practice, allowing the Program Director to remain actively engaged in patient care while shaping the future of graduate medical education.

Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Designated Institutional Official (DIO), the Program Director is responsible for the general administration, curriculum planning, recruitment, and teaching and supervision of the IM Residency Program (“IM Program or Program”). The Program Director establishes the strategic direction of the Program and is responsible for the standards, quality and reputation of such. The Program Director is expected to support integration of the IM Program with physician practices and hospital clinical services in a manner that enhances value and quality, and that promotes an optimal environment for professional practice and medical education.

- Minimum 3 years of Program Director or Associate Program Director experience
- Demonstrated experience in resident and medical student education and mentorship
- Active record of scholarly activity, including research, publications, and presentations
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Inpatient clinical experience preferred
- Administrative and residency program leadership experience preferred
- Eligible for unrestricted Illinois medical licensure
