Senior Staff Accountant

** Hiring for a Property Management Senior Staff Accountant 

Job Summary: The Senior Accountants will possess expertise in financial review and join our finance team across our Hospitality sectors. Successful candidates will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records and reports, reporting directly to the Controller and handling essential accounting tasks within the department.

Job Responsibilities: Including but not limited to

• Conduct thorough reviews of financial statements, general ledgers, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Analyze financial data and trends to identify discrepancies, irregularities, and areas for improvement.
• Perform detailed reconciliations of accounts and investigate variances to ensure proper documentation and resolution.
• Supervise and manage the outsourced accounting team, providing guidance, training, and support. Lead the team on the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, including the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and our hospitality teams to review financial transactions and provide insights. 
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts, providing commentary and analysis as needed.
• Assist on gathering documentations for year-end income tax filing and regulatory compliance reviews by providing accurate and timely financial information. 
• Perform impromptu projects as directed by management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or related field. CPA is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong focus on financial review and analysis.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Experience in the real estate development industry, specialized in Hospitality or related sectors is preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting software – Yardi, Sage, R365, xtraCHEF and advanced Excel skills. 
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
