What are the responsibilities and job description for the Freeze Dry Production Associate ( Evening Shift) position at Prime Freeze Dry?
Overview:
Join our crew! Prime Freeze Dry, home to formerly the largest freeze dried candy company in the country. We have grown beyond just candy. We now freeze dry candy, fruits, vegetables, prepared meals, and dog food, and this role supports production across all of these product lines. Your job will consist of prepping product, getting it onto trays to be freeze dried, and emptying trays once the cycle is complete. It's a super easy job with a fun bunch! We need help on our afternoon crew 2-10 pm.
Preferred Skills:
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Operate freeze drying machinery and equipment in the production process
- Comfort prepping and handling a variety of product types (candy, produce, prepared meals, and dog food)
- Adhere to food safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment across all product lines
- Follow FDA regulations
- Ability to stand on your feet for many hours at a time.
- Experience in a food processing plant or related industry is a plus.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation procedures
- Familiarity with FDA regulations and HACCP standards
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
