Join an innovative fiber broadband startup bringing next-generation connectivity to the Greater Phoenix Metropolitan Area. As Director of Operations, you will lead large-scale FTTH (Fiber-to-the-Home) construction projects and oversee customer installation and repair operations. You'll be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, high-quality service delivery, and strong partnerships with wholesale clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Field Operations for an open-access FTTH network, ensuring high performance, reliability, and efficiency
- Own Service Delivery Outcomes, delivering against all SLA and KPI commitments for wholesale clients.
- Oversee End-to-End Operations, including: 1) Fiber network construction and activation, 2) Residential and business installation and repair. 3) Dispatch, field techs, and escalation support teams.
- Drive Speed-to-Market: Execute aggressive construction schedules while maintaining safety and quality standards.
- Serve as Market Point of Contact: Act as the primary operational liaison for wholesale clients, local agencies, and community partners.
- Vendor Management: Ensure vendor performance through accountability, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with Local Stakeholders: Maintain productive relationships with local governments, utilities, and locate services in Clark County and the surrounding region.
Required Qualifications
- 8 years of experience in fiber broadband, telecom, or related field operations.
- 3 years in a leadership role with direct team management.
- Strong knowledge of FTTH network construction and OSP (Outside Plant) deployment.
- Experience in customer installation, service assurance, and field repair operations.
- Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and deliver results in a high-growth, deadline-driven environment.
- Exceptional communication skills with internal teams, clients, municipalities, and contractors.
- Bachelor's degree required (Engineering, Business, or related field preferred).
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with regional permitting processes, utility coordination, and right-of-way regulations.
- Experience with open-access wholesale models and service delivery frameworks.
- Proficiency with GIS systems, construction management platforms, and dispatch tools.
This position includes a competitive base salary a target annual performance bonus of 20%.
