Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Motor Winder located in Queens, NY. The Motor Winder will be responsible for inspecting, disassembling, cleaning, rewinding, repairing, and reassembling electric motors, generators, transformers, and related equipment. The role involves reading schematics, troubleshooting faults, performing testing with diagnostic tools, and maintaining equipment safety standards. Attention to detail, precision, and the ability to work in a team environment are essential for success in this position.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in motor winding, including disassembly, winding, and reassembly processes
- Skills in using diagnostic tools and instruments to test, measure, and identify motor faults
- Knowledge of electrical schematics and understanding of machine wiring systems
- Ability to use hand tools and operate machinery required for motor repair
- Awareness of workplace safety practices, including performing repairs adhering to safety procedures
- Problem-solving skills and precision in troubleshooting and executing repairs
- Prior experience in motor winding or electrical repair is a strong advantage
