Duties
- Perform repairs and maintenance on a wide range of mobile devices, including Android and iOS smartphones, tablets, and other portable electronics
- Troubleshoot software issues related to operating systems such as Android, iOS, macOS, and Windows, identifying root causes quickly and accurately
- Conduct hardware repairs using hand tools and soldering techniques to replace screens, batteries, charging ports, and internal components
- Interpret schematics and technical diagrams to diagnose complex equipment problems efficiently
- Utilize analysis skills to assess device performance issues and recommend appropriate solutions or replacements
- Provide technical support to customers both in-store and in the field, guiding them through troubleshooting steps or repair processes
- Use specialized equipment to test devices post-repair ensuring optimal functionality before return to customer
Experience
- Proven experience repairing mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets, or similar electronics
- Familiarity with operating systems including Android, iOS, macOS, Windows; understanding software troubleshooting is essential
- Skilled in using hand tools for delicate hardware repairs and soldering for component-level fixes
- Knowledge of schematics and technical manuals to facilitate accurate diagnostics
- Strong analysis skills for identifying hardware/software issues quickly and effectively
- Experience working in retail sales or field service environments is a plus but not required; a passion for technology is essential
