Job Overview
We are seeking energetic and experienced Class A Team Drivers to join our dynamic transportation team! This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate tractor-trailers across over-the-road (OTR) routes, delivering freight efficiently and safely while adhering to all federal and state regulations. Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers on long-distance OTR routes, ensuring compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations.
- Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transport.
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules.
- Transport various types of freight including refrigerated goods, hazardous materials (Hazmat), and dangerous goods, following all hazardous materials regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo documentation in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery times, route changes, or issues encountered during transit.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid Class A CDL license.
- Knowledge of logistics cargo handling, truck loading/unloading procedures, and route driving best practices.
- Familiarity with FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance standards, and hazardous materials regulations is highly desirable.
- Prior delivery driver experience involving freight transportation across long distances is a plus.
