Duties
- Assist in the collection and processing of specimens, including blood sampling and venipuncture.
- Perform laboratory procedures and techniques in accordance with established protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of specimens and ensure proper labeling and documentation.
- Support patient service by providing excellent care and addressing any inquiries related to specimen collection.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to prevent contamination during specimen handling.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards.
- Conduct basic laboratory tests under the supervision of qualified personnel.
- Monitor vital signs when necessary and assist in patient care as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the laboratory environment.
Skills
- Proficient in laboratory procedures and techniques, with prior clinical laboratory experience preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is essential for effective communication and understanding of laboratory processes.
- Experience in phlebotomy, including blood sampling and venipuncture techniques.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow protocols accurately.
