We use skilled subcontractor crews and need a Project Manager who can own the schedule, subs, inspections, and homeowner communication so projects run on time and on budget.
What You Will Do
- Manage multiple residential deck projects from pre construction through final walkthrough
- Build and maintain project schedules and ensure jobs start and finish on time
- Coordinate materials, deliveries, and subcontractor crews so jobs stay productive
- Walk jobs regularly to check quality, safety, and progress against plans
- Handle permits, inspections, and punch lists with local inspectors and HOAs
- Communicate with homeowners at key milestones so they always know what is happening next
- Track change orders, extras, and budget updates and report to the owner
- Keep job sites organized and clean and enforce company standards with subs

- Jobs start and finish on schedule with minimal surprises
- Projects hit or beat budgeted gross margin
- Homeowners rate their experience 5 stars and would refer friends
- Subs know exactly what is expected and show up prepared
- Punch list items are resolved quickly without the owner stepping in
What You Bring
- 3 years managing residential construction projects
- Decks, exterior work, remodeling, or custom homes is a plus
- Strong understanding of basic framing, decking, and job sequencing
- Proven experience coordinating subs, inspections, and materials
- Comfortable reading plans, permits, and inspection notes
- Strong communication skills with both homeowners and crews
- Organized, detail oriented, and able to manage several jobs at once
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites around Wilmington
- Comfortable using basic software and apps for scheduling and documentation
Pay and Benefits
- Salary: $70,000 to $90,000 per year, depending on experience
- Performance bonus opportunity based on on time, on budget, and customer satisfaction
- Company phone or phone stipend
- Mileage or truck allowance for job site travel
- Mostly Monday to Friday schedule, with occasional Saturdays during busy season
