Our client has moved ETL Integrations to AWS and is looking for a Tech Lead who can balance hands-on technical expertise with strong leadership skills.
The person will lead a team of 8 ETL developers, taking charge independently, driving delivery, and ensuring both technical excellence and team growth. Some organizations may call this role a supervisor, but the key takeaway is we need both technical and leadership skills.
🔑 Responsibilities:
- Lead ETL Development: Oversee design, development, and maintenance of ETL processes.
- Technical Leadership: Mentor, guide, and enforce best practices across the team.
- Data Integration: Collaborate across teams to integrate multiple data sources.
- Performance Optimization: Ensure scalability, reliability, and efficiency of ETL processes.
- Data Quality: Implement standards and validation frameworks.
- Documentation: Maintain clear records of data flows and technical specifications.
- Innovation: Leverage new tools and AWS-native services for improvement.
✅ Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 5 years ETL development experience, with 2 years in a technical lead role.
- Proficiency with ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, SSIS), SQL, Data Warehousing.
- Strong programming in Python.
- Experience with AWS services: Step Functions, DynamoDB, S3, Lambda, SQS, SNS.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
