Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing curriculum plans focused on early childhood development, including literacy, math, and behavior management strategies
- Support daily classroom activities that promote social-emotional growth, motor skills, and cognitive development for infants and toddlers
- Engage with children through play, tutoring, mentoring, and communication to foster a love of learning and curiosity
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment by following proper childcare procedures and classroom management techniques
- Collaborate with staff to monitor individual progress of children with disabilities or autism and adapt activities accordingly
- Support documentation efforts by proofreading developmental records and assisting in preparing educational materials
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a cohesive educational experience
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with young children in early childhood education settings or childcare environments is preferred
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies is beneficial
- Strong communication skills for mentoring children and collaborating with team members are essential
- Background in literacy education, math instruction, or tutoring young learners will support success in this role
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and needs
