What are the responsibilities and job description for the Receptionist / Medical Assistant in Family Practice (Front Desk) position at PRIME CARE PHYSICIANS?
Looking for a Receptionist comfortable with learning and performing routine Medical Assistant duties for a busy family practice, the ideal candidate will have some medical experience and a positive, upbeat personality. Although we are willing to train the right person. Currently we need someone available from 9am-5:30pm Monday through Friday. This is a full time in-office position with front desk duties; please do not apply if your schedule will consistently conflict with these hours. We encourage students to apply! Key Job Roles:
- Room and Vitalize patients
- Answer multi-line phones
- Schedule appointments
- Administrative Work / Checking out patients / Patient Callbacks
- Preparing Lab and Radiology Orders
- Patient Intake and Electronic Health Record (EHR) Management
Requirements and Recommended Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- College degree preferred but not required
- Medical Assistant Certification preferred but not required, again we are willing to train the right person
- Pre-Med / Pre-PA / Pre-NP / Pre-Nursing students encouraged to apply
- Strong working knowledge of office procedures and basic computing principles
- Ability to effectively use and maintain office equipment
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Outstanding communication and conflict resolution skills
- Great organizational and multitasking abilities
