GA Pre-K LEAD TEACHER - Job Description
- Teach children about core concepts, such as numbers, letters, shapes, and colors.
- Use creative, hands-on methods of learning, such as artistic expression, free play, and storytelling.
- Work accordingly with the school curriculum that addresses early childhood education requirements.
- Must be able to attend mandatory training (in person & online)
- implementing lesson plans, doing assessments on the children
- Track the academic performance of students for signs of progress
- classroom cleanliness and maintenance
- Encourage and monitor social interactions between children.
- Set up the materials and workspaces required for class activities.
- Instilling a sense of respect and discipline, so that children work effectively in a classroom setting.
- Supervise children outside of class time, such as during lunch, out on the playground, or on field trips.
- Ensure that the classroom is clean, safe, and well-organized.
- Communicate with parents to learn more about each child's life outside the classroom.
- Manage and understand how to use (WSO) Work Sampling Online
- Communicate and meet with parents to discuss the goals and needs of students in their program
- Create reports to inform parents about their children's progress at school.
