Medical Biller (Verification and AR Follow-up)

PRIME Behavioral Health Services handles insurance billing for behavioral health providers. We are opening a small downtown Hendersonville office in 2027 and hiring two medical billers. Each person will be cross-trained on insurance verification and accounts-receivable follow-up, so this is not a narrow task you repeat forever.
Verification is checking coverage and benefits before a claim goes out. AR follow-up is working unpaid and denied claims until they are resolved. You will be on the phone with payers, in the billing system, and responsible for your own list of accounts.
What you will do
- Verify insurance coverage, benefits, and authorization requirements
- Work unpaid and denied claims through to resolution
- Keep your own account list moving and document what you did
- Talk to insurance companies and follow up until the claim is finished
- Learn both seats, then carry a full workload across them
What we are looking for
Direct billing experience is useful, not required. We will train the right person. The wrong person is someone who already knows how they do it and plans to keep doing it that way. We have a set process. You learn that process, then you own the work.
You should be able to learn a detailed job, stay with a problem until it is finished, and work in a small office with direct feedback. This is not a call center, and it is not a seat where you can disappear into a queue.
One of these seats can turn into running the office, if you are the person who wants that and can carry it.
