Housekeeper/Laundry Worker

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Laundry Worker/Housekeeper to join our assisted living team, Monday through Friday 8 am to 4pm. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our tenants by performing a variety of laundry duties and light housekeeping. Your attention to detail and commitment to sanitation will ensure that our facilities meet the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort.

Responsibilities

• Light cleaning of bathrooms, hallways, and public areas.
• Handle all laundry tasks, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens, towels, and guest clothing with care and efficiency for our tenants.
• Use cleaning agents and chemicals safely in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) to ensure proper handling and disposal.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, washers, and dryers
• Respond promptly to resident requests or issues related to cleanliness or laundry services, demonstrating excellent customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a facility home with housekeeping, janitorial work, or industrial cleaning is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment, chemical agent handling, and safety procedures related to sanitation.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting of linens.
• Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills.
• Understanding of assisted living emergency procedures and safety protocols.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
