SUMMARY OVERVIEW
The Vice President of Finance is responsible for the executive oversight of all financial operations, including accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls. The incumbent supports the Chief Financial Officer by directing financial strategy, ensuring accuracy of financial data, strengthening financial processes, and maintaining compliance with regulatory and audit requirements. This role provides leadership to accounting and finance teams and ensures financial integrity across the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, AP, AR, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting
- Plan, organize, and review all Finance division activities to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP and company policy
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate finance and accounting staff; ensure cross-training to support division continuity
- Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and variance analysis processes
- Oversee internal controls, audit readiness, and compliance with regulatory standards
- Partner with the CFO on long-range financial strategy, capital planning, and financial modeling
- Support the development, installation, and maintenance of financial systems; serve as functional lead for enhancements or upgrades
- Manage and improve processes related to cash management, billing, collections, and financial reconciliation
- Identify financial trends, gaps, and opportunities; make recommendations for system, process, and performance improvements
- Oversee the preparation of financial policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure strong audit controls
- Partner with contracts, operations, HR, and other departments to resolve discrepancies impacting financial accuracy
- Represent the Finance division in cross-department initiatives, meetings, and financial reviews
- Coordinate with external auditors, consultants, and regulatory agencies as needed
- Perform any additional duties as assigned by management
QUALIFICATIONS
- 18 years of age or older
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Ability to work onsite, Monday–Friday
- Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- 5 years of professional accounting/finance experience, including supervisory or management-level experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls
- Experience managing accounting teams or multi-function finance operations (AP, AR, GL)
- Ability to effectively communicate with colleagues, clients, and leadership, both in-person and electronically
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret financial data and develop insights
- Pass a background check and drug screen
- Must be flexible to work extended hours on occasion to support operations
