What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Lab Lead Technician position at Prime Aesthetics Dental Lab?
We are a Miami-based dental laboratory seeking an experienced Lead Dental Technician / Dental Lab Manager to oversee production, quality control, and direct communication with dentists. This is a full-time, in-house role for a senior technician who values precision, esthetics, and professional relationships with dental practices.
In addition to technical leadership, this role includes supporting practice relationships and helping re-establish and grow our dentist client base through quality work and professional communication.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily dental lab production and quality control
- Fabricate high-quality crowns, bridges, and implant restorations
- Review dental prescriptions, photos, and digital case submissions
- Communicate directly with dentists regarding case planning, adjustments, and expectations
- Provide clinical and technical guidance to doctors as needed
- Assist in rebuilding and maintaining dentist relationships through responsiveness, reliability, and quality outcomes
- Support efforts to re-engage existing clients and attract new dental practices through professional interaction and case excellence
- Identify, track, and resolve remakes or case issues
- Establish and enforce dental lab workflows, protocols, and turnaround times
- Train and mentor junior dental technicians as the lab grows
- Ensure all outgoing cases meet high clinical and esthetic standards
Requirements
- 5 years of dental laboratory experience
- Experience as a Crown & Bridge Technician, Implant Technician, or Senior Dental Technician
- Ability to independently complete cases from start to finish
- Comfortable interacting with dentists to support case success and long-term working relationships
- Willingness to assist in client development and practice retention through communication and quality work
- Fluent in English and Spanish (required)
- Strong understanding of clinical expectations and esthetic standards
- High attention to detail, organization, and accountability
- Leadership mindset with strong interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Lead Dental Technician or Dental Lab Manager
- Experience with CAD/CAM dentistry, Exocad, 3Shape, or digital workflows
- Experience working with esthetically driven or high-end dental practices
- Comfort participating in occasional practice visits or case discussions
