We are currently seeking a Traffic Engineer to join our Baltimore or Fairfax office.

Position Overview:

The Traffic Engineer will support the design and analysis of transportation projects with a focus on traffic engineering solutions. The position involves hands-on design work, data analysis, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality traffic engineering services for a range of public infrastructure projects. 

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct analysis for traffic studies such as signal warrant analyses, traffic impact studies, and corridor safety assessments.
• Assist in the preparation of traffic control device designs including traffic signals, signage and pavement markings.
• Prepare design plans, specifications, and cost estimates for traffic signals, signing, striping, and temporary traffic control.
• Support senior engineers in preparing technical memos, reports, and exhibits.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in traffic or transportation engineering.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is required.  Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred. 
• Proficiency with traffic engineering design and analysis software (e.g., Synchro, HCS, AutoCAD, MicroStation).
• General knowledge of the MUTCD and other applicable engineering standards
• Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
