We’re actively seeking a Construction Inspector to join our Land Business Line in South Carolina and Florida.

You’ll monitor construction activity, perform on-site inspections, verify materials and methods, and coordinate with engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure infrastructure is built to the highest standard

We’re actively seeking a Construction Inspector to join our Land Business Line in South Carolina and Florida.
What You’ll Do:
As a Construction Inspector, you’ll play a key role in supporting water and wastewater facility projects, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance from groundbreaking through project closeout. You’ll monitor construction activity, perform on-site inspections, verify materials and methods, and coordinate with engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure infrastructure is built to the highest standard
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect construction of water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, pipelines, and related infrastructure.
- Verify installation of mechanical, electrical, and process piping systems for compliance with plans and specifications.
- Perform field measurements, daily reports, and photographic documentation of work progress.
- Observe concrete placement, excavation, backfilling, testing, and equipment installation for accuracy and safety compliance.
- Assist project engineers with RFIs, submittal reviews, and contractor coordination.
- Conduct or support field and lab testing of construction materials such as concrete, soil, and aggregates.
- Ensure compliance with applicable environmental, safety, and quality assurance procedures.
- Communicate proactively with contractors, project managers, and clients regarding field conditions and potential issues.
- Participate in progress meetings, punch list inspections, and project closeout documentation.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in construction inspection or related field (water/wastewater experience preferred).
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Construction Engineering (preferred but not required).
- Working knowledge of municipal utility construction, pump stations, and treatment plant systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Certifications such as OSHA 10/30, ACI Concrete Field Testing, or NICET are a plus (PRIME AE will support obtaining additional certifications).
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
