What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Administrator position at Prime Administrators?
The HR Administrator will support day-to-day HR functions ensuring smooth onboarding, compliance, and employee engagement. This role is ideal for someone with hospitality experience who thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment and is passionate about helping teams succeed.
General Rols and Responsibilities:
- Assist with recruiting and scheduling interviews for front-of-house and back-of-house roles
- Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and training for new hires
· Assist with formal job offering and ensure candidate has accepted the position, compensation, location and is available for scheduled orientation, prior to starting. Candidates’ compensation must fall under the organization pay scale requirements. HR Administrator must work with HR Manager for approval when pay is outside of preapproved scale.
- Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with labor laws and restaurant policies
- Support payroll and benefits administration in collaboration with the HR Manager
- Help resolve employee concerns and promote a positive work culture in collaboration with the HR Manager
· Prepare and maintain internal employment records related to events such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, trainings, reviews, promotions, P.I.P. or disciplinary actions by using existing company structure.
- Organize team-building activities, recognition programs, and staff communications
- Monitor timekeeping systems and assist with scheduling support
- Ensure workplace safety and hygiene standards are upheld
· Maintain and update job requirements, descriptions, handbooks, policies and pay for all positions with HR Manager partnership. Audit yearly with Direct Supervisor.
- 1–2 years of HR or administrative experience, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Familiarity with labor laws and restaurant operations
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR software systems
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
· Assist with additional projects when needed.
Preferred Skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or other languages common in restaurant settings)
- Experience with scheduling platforms (e.g., HotSchedules, 7shifts)
- Knowledge of food safety and workplace safety standards
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
