Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Estimator role based in Phoenix, AZ. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing cost estimates for grading and paving projects, analyzing job specifications, collaborating with project managers, and sourcing materials. Primary responsibilities include reviewing plans, creating budgets, performing cost analysis, preparing bids, and supporting project managers with accurate pricing and timelines. The Estimator will also liaise with vendors, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project objectives are met.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial analysis for grading and paving projects
- Experience with project evaluation, blueprint reading, and material takeoff
- Proficient in project management and scheduling software
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise with clients, subcontractors, and vendors
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to construction
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; relevant work experience may be considered
- Previous experience in the grading and paving industry is highly desirable
